Success – What Are You Doing To Move The Needle?
I often get asked how to make progress towards success. A tactic I use with all of our patients and clients is to find a way to integrate healthy habits.
The two healthy habits I combine are working out while listening to podcasts that are associated with where I want to grow. I listen to my mentors Dan Sullivan, Ben Altadonna, and 10X Talk with Joe Polish so I can hear their mindset. Like you, I never have a shortage of ideas, but prioritizing is the challenge.
As I work out and listen to podcasts, I’m getting two benefits. I’m staying healthy and associating with the people who inspire me. It’s said that whatever you want to do or be in life, you are the essentially the sum of the 5 people you surround yourself with the most. This principle is true for relationships, health, and business. So, who are the 5 people you associate with the most? It doesn’t have to be an in person relationship. Joe Polish talks about relationship capital being so powerful in terms of how easy it is to call someone to get health, business, or relationship advice. By asking for advice you are listening to successful people who have already blazed the path for where you want to go.
I’m in the health care space and business development. Some of the people I look up to are my really good friends. We’ve been able to dig deep into core beliefs and philosophies. You’ve likely heard their names before – JJ Virgin, Dr. Josh Axe, Kelly Ann Petrucci, and Dr. Trevor Cates. All of them are brilliant in the health care field in their own niche. I surround myself with these people because they motivate me, and grow me as we collaborate on how to make the world a better place.
Ask yourself where are you going and who are you surrounding yourself with? Those people will govern your train of thought and determine your future. So how can you associate more with positive influence? For me, it’s listening to Podcasts while I’m working out or running. It helps me prioritize my next action steps.
Tell me what your next step will be to start surrounding yourself with people you want to be like or grow into. How can you integrate more healthy habits into your life?
Here’s to making the rest of your years the best of your years!
